About the service

The Trust for Developing Communities (TDC) works with people and groups from racially minoritised, culturally and ethnically diverse communities.
They provide individual, social and peer support opportunities specific to reducing isolation, increasing community participation and connection, and improving mental health and wellbeing.

TDCs’ services are informed, designed, and delivered by specialist workers, including community engagement workers and social prescribers with migrant, refugee and asylum seeker lived experience.

TDC’s vision is for Brighton and Hove to become a city of equality, diversity and inclusion where communities thrive. Their work with racially minoritised and ethnically diverse communities is focused on a community-led response to health inequalities, psychosocial approaches to wellbeing and community and social inclusion and connection.

The Trust for Developing Communities and the Hangleton and Knoll Project work in partnership to provide targeted psychosocial support on a one-to-one basis and to groups from ethnically diverse backgrounds, as part of the UOK partnership,
