Mind in Brighton and Hove provide confidential and free advocacy service to help you say what you want to say, secure your rights and make your views and wishes heard. All our advocacy services operate independently of other mental health or health and social care services, work in partnership with you and take your side.

Community Advocacy

Our Community Advocates can help you say what you want, secure your rights, represent your interest and obtain services that you need.

You can use this service if you are:

  • An adults with a mental health issue
  • An adult with an undiagnosed mental health condition having difficulties accessing mental health services
  • An adult living in the communities of Brighton or Hove
  • An adult in a mental health unit but not detained under the mental health act (informal patients)

The Community Advocacy Service is open Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm

Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)

Independent Mental Health Advocates can support you if you are receiving mental health treatment in Hospital in Brighton and Hove. If you are under section and have questions about your rights, treatment and care then an IMHA could help you.

The IMHA service operates Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm within Mill View
