UOK Communications Coordinator

- Short bio – about you and what you do for the UOK partnership.
I’m Manasi. I love the colour yellow, frisbee and all things Comms! At UOK, I am the communications Coordinator and my role is to tell your stories and build UOK presence via website, social media and events. I work to build both, online and in-person community so UOK can be the go-to place for all mental health needs. I would love to know your story and am always up for a conversation.
- Why mental health and wellbeing is important to you as a cause.
I truly believe in the restorative power of community and the wonders of receiving the right support when required. All of us can flourish and lead a fulfilling life. I am proud that our work at Southdown and UOK supports people to achieve this. Through my own life, I have been held in difficult times by the kindness of those around me and the ones who could see me as a whole person even when I did not feel so. Wellbeing is a shared and collective ecosystem: when one of us feels better, all of us get better.
- A quote / tip / personal reasoning that helps you better manage your mental health and wellbeing.
Emotions are meant to be felt, not overcome. The only way past a difficult feeling is through it and with the right support, it is possible to heal. No person is an island and joy is right around the corner.
