About Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week this year runs from 11 to 17 May 2026 and is organised by the Mental Health Foundation. This year’s theme is Action. The idea that while raising awareness matters, real change comes through taking steps, however small, to support mental health in our own lives and in the lives of those around us.

The campaign frames action at three levels: things you can do for yourself, for someone else, and for the wider community and society. The Mental Health Foundation’s position is that individual actions matter, but collective action is more powerful still. Mental Health Foundation
Throughout the week, there are ways to get involved beyond attending events. Wear it Green Day on Thursday 14 May is an opportunity to show visible support for mental health in schools, workplaces, and community settings. Free resources, posters, and social media assets are also available to download from the Mental Health Foundation website.
