UOK Winter Wellbeing Webinar

Our recent Winter Wellbeing webinar was a real success, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped create such a thoughtful, supportive space.

We opened the session with a simple question: what helps you feel well during winter?
The responses included comforting hot drinks, cosy blankets, electric blankets and hot water bottles, alongside winter walks, exercise, yoga, meditation, music, and spending time with friends, family, pets, and colleagues. These lovely responses from our attendees set the tone for an hour filled with warmth and practical care.

Our information session included:

  • Energy, food and cost of living – B&H Public Health (15 mins) – Sarah Podmore
  • Carer Self-Care and Wellbeing during winter – Rethink Mental Illness (10 mins) – Wendy Robinson
  • How are you really feeling? The Sussex-wide campaign and B&H Pilot (10 mins) – Alice Clements, SPFT

We’re pleased to share that all slides, recordings, and resources mentioned during the webinar are available below, so you can revisit the content or share it with colleagues and communities.

Throughout the session, participants engaged actively via the chat, sharing feedback, resources, and thoughtful comments. Many highlighted how useful the information would be for future signposting and how reassuring it was to see the breadth of support available locally.

A quote from one of our atendees:

Thank you all for such an insightful presentation. It will certainly help me with signposting going forwards and I feel positive about the amount of resources available in Brighton and Hove.
