About the service
Staying Well is an out-of-hours walk-in service for people aged 18 or over experiencing mental distress or requiring crisis support. Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Staying Well provides psychosocial support within a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment.
We are making some changes to the Staying Well Service so that people in Sussex can get the right help at the right time with their mental health. This is in response to the significant need for support in our communities and demand on our services.
Southdown has two Staying Well services in East Sussex. Eastbourne is now open access and walk-in, no appointment necessary and Hastings will follow shortly. Staying Well services are for individuals who are experiencing a self-defined mental health crisis or feel at breaking point and in need of urgent help. Keep an eye on this website for further updates.
