UOK Brighton & Hove has relaunched under a new contract with an expanded partnership of trusted local charities, community groups, and mental health experts.
To mark this exciting new chapter, UOK hosted a series of free webinars in October for professionals and members of the public to learn more about the refreshed offer and how to access it. The sessions were led by UOK Communications Coordinator, Manasi Barmecha, and UOK Brighton & Hove Partnership Lead , Brooke Joyce, who guided participants through the “Golden Purpose Triangle”, exploring why UOK exists, the need for a citywide partnership approach, and how our collective work makes a meaningful difference to local mental health and wellbeing.

Across the four sessions (20th, 21st, 22nd, and 29th October), attendees gained a clear understanding of what’s new under the refreshed UOK partnership, including how services link together to provide seamless, person-centred support. The webinars also unpacked what “the right support, at the right time” looks like in practice—through advice, wellbeing activities, peer support, and accessible mental health resources.
We were delighted by the turnout and the engagement from both professionals and community members. Participants asked thoughtful questions about our services, particularly around Qwell’s online offer—showing a growing interest in flexible, digital options for wellbeing support.
We also received some lovely feedback from attendees, including Pauline Ford, Chair of the Board for Southdown, who said:
“Really clear session and good to see so much interest!”
A big thank you to everyone who joined us, shared questions, and helped shape the discussion.
